Performing Arts  Recognition

The MLS Foundation Memory Lane Society is proud to recognize each year individuals who were active in the Performing Arts during their Seminary years.

Last year the cast and crew of the 1987 production of Oklahoma! were honored on April 1 with a cast party. The room was filled with stars and the paparazzi were there in full force to catch a glimpse of them. We are working on obtaining some of their photographs of the event. Highlighting the evening was the presentation of the Golden Cardinal Award now on display in the Commons. As a memento, each cast member also received a small Golden Cardinal pin.

Over 30 cast-members, families and friends attending, enjoyed wonderful hors d’oeuvres and a time of mingling and re-kindling friendships. After the party, the group attended the 2006 production of the same musical at which they were recognized from the stage. Several remarked how nice it was to be back on campus during the school year while activities were going on.
