Easter Collection
Please Help With Our Easter Collection
As in past years, MLS Teens for Life Group is conducting an Easter Collection to benefit very needy families who are clients of the Saginaw or Flint WELS Lutherans for Life Pregnancy Counseling Centers. This year the counselors have selected four families with a total of nine children to receive our help.
We try to give each family a box of non-perishable food items and a box of paper products and personal care items. Each child receives a small toy, an article of new clothing, some candy or snacks, and a Bible in an Easter basket. Our gifts also include a message about the glorious gift that we all received from our Lord on Good Friday and Easter and an invitation to attend one of our WELS or ELS churches during Holy Week and Easter.
How Can You Help? By donating any of the following items:
- Non-perishable food items: such as cereal, pasta, pasta sauces, canned fruit, soups, baking mixes, jello, or pudding.
- Paper products: paper towels, toilet paper, or tissues (these can’t be purchased with food stamps).
- Diapers: any size
- Treats: candy, snacks (fruit or graham cracker or cookie type) preferably individually packaged. stickers and stickers books or coloring books and crayons or markers for young children.
- Clothing: Socks for any of the children. Shirts, or shorts for any child older that 2.
- Personal items: limited to toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap or shower gels, shampoo for children and adults, and lotion for babies and adults.
- Vitamins for children
- Monetary donations made out to MLS Teens for Life can be sent to MLS, 2777 Hardin St., Saginaw, MI 48602.
Following are the sex and ages and sizes of the children so that you might choose snacks, clothing, or toys that would be appropriate, if you are so inclined. One mother has one child and is expecting another in June.

This year we will be collecting items in the administration office 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday Feb. 11th through Monday Feb. 25th.
We appreciate your help in supplying donated items. We know from past years that the clients receiving these gifts are extremely grateful and touched by the generosity and love of people who do not even know them.
